At Intern UK, we arrange individual and group internship and ’work experience’ programmes, to meet the precise needs and career objectives of our clients. We guarantee to accurately ‘match’ applicants with meaningful work placements and provide a high level of personal support throughout their programme. We have been established for 19 years and have helped many thousands of successful interns.
Work Experience in the UK…
Based in Swansea in South Wales, we arrange unpaid placements in most commercial, industrial and professional fields. We offer programmes to suit candidates with all levels of experience, whether they are students, graduates or experienced young professionals.
International students and graduates, from UK universities, are most welcome to apply.
Our minimum age for internship is normally 20 years and we have no upper age limit.
Our programmes can last from a few weeks, to a complete year. However, three months is the average duration and provides a really worthwhile and beneficial experience.
We are not a language school, nor are we associated with any language group. We are dedicated solely to providing internships for international applicants.

We work with a variety of universities and colleges, to provide ‘tailored’ courses for their groups, in a wide range of commercial and professional fields.
Vocational Training in the UK
We arrange programmes to suit groups at all educational levels and in a wide variety of vocational fields. These are based on unpaid placements, usually of up to three months duration and usually have well defined objectives. Placements are in the Swansea area of South Wales, which is a vibrant city by the sea, having great links to the whole UK.
The minimum age for these programmes is 17 years and we expect at least a basic ability in spoken English.
We are accustomed to working with groups sponsored by Erasmus and Leonardo da Vinci programmes.
Internships in Kenya ...
Based in the Mombasa area, unpaid placements are available in teaching, medical, welfare, IT, microbusiness and civil engineering fields.
We provide our own staff and support locally and accommodation is based on ‘homestays’ with Kenyan families.
Taking some well earned time after graduating ? Come and join us in giving something back and working with less privileged people. Your efforts WILL make a difference to people’s lives!
These placements are available for up to six months, though a three month stay is standard. The minimum duration of these placements is one month and programmes run three times each year.
Our website is in English only. It is our first test of your language ability.
If you have difficulty reading and understanding it, an internship programme may not be appropriate for you. However, our work experience programme, for those with lesser language ability, may suit you perfectly ! We can also arrange language courses, for those applicants wishing to combine a language course with an internship experience.
Please note that if you are not an EU citizen, or an international student studying in the UK, you may find it impossible to obtain a visa for an internship in the UK. Please check the current UK Border Agency requirements.
